Twisting Brushes
- Twisting brushes
SK Type Twisting Brushes
A twisting brush is a basic brush in which bristles are sandwiched between core wires and twisted to hold them in place. It is often used for cleaning and polishing of hard-to-reach small spots and deep areas, including the inner surfaces of pipes and threaded holes.
SHOWA INDUSTRIES uses the manufacturing methods of single (two core wires), double single (four core wires) and double spiral (four core wires) depending on the number of bristles and application.
Product Variations
SK Type Twisting Brush Features
- Twisting brushes are made by twisting bristles sandwiched between core wires and holding them in place.
- SHOWA INDUSTRIES can manufacture single (two core wires), double single (four core wires) and double spiral (four core wires) twisting brushes.
-
Single (two core wires)
Bristles sandwiched between the two core wires are twisted. This is a commonly used form.
-
Double single (four core wires)
Bristles sandwiched between two paired core wires are twisted, which makes the shaft stronger and thicker. This method is often used for firm bristle materials.
-
Double spiral (four core wires)
Two rows of bristles sandwiched between the four core wires are twisted. More bristles can be implanted, resulting in a high-density brush. This is often used for polishing brushes with firm bristles or bristles containing abrasive grains.
Applications and Functions
Washing/cleaning, polishing/grinding, deburring, etc.
